Indeed, The Quick pick status bar items are gone in Notes 8 gold
Hey loyal customers,
Indeed, the quickpick items from the lower right of the status bar are "gone" in Notes 8. (this is from Samantha's perspective).
From an implementation perspective, we had to choose which things to re-implement in the Expeditor framework/status bar. The Quickpicks did not make it-- but most of the items in the quick pick are available elsewhere-- actually in more "normal and expected" places.
For example, for a new message, you can do CTRL + M, or File - New - Message
to send and receive mail, you can go to the wonderful new TOOLS menu and pick "Send and Receive Mail"
to Send only, you can go to your replicator page and choose to send outgoing.
The only thing missing is to Receive only-- this was an oversight, and we hope to add a menu item and/or an item on the replicator page in a future version.
